I have been going to Beth for flute lessons since I was seven years old (seventeen years now!). She is an incredible teacher, and has taken me right from the very beginning when I could only manage 15 minutes, all the way through to my grade 8 (which I passed in November), and we are now thinking of going for the advanced certificate. An accomplished flautist herself, she is a lively and fun teacher, and we have played a wide range of music styles together. Similarly, when it came to exams there was always a willingness to let me choose which pieces out of the prescription I wanted to play. She has always been enthusiastic and supportive in preparing for the exams, although there was never any pressure to take them. Additionally, as I am studying at university, I have greatly appreciated Beth’s flexibility and understanding that I also have other work and commitments. My flute lessons have always been enjoyable, and I highly recommend her to anyone wishing to learn the flute or for tuition more generally.

My son had Literacy and Numeracy weekly tutoring with Beth in year 3.
He could easily be distracted and was a little demotivated at school so I was worried he may not enjoy extra work outside of normal school hours.
Beth was fantastic and my son was really engaged in the work he did with her, often coming straight home to finish anything he had not finished in his tutoring.
She has a great way of making learning fun and not feel like work at all. My son made huge leaps in his academic ability which we needed as he was sitting an entrance exam for a new school which he passed easily.
A lot of what was included in his exam had not in fact been covered by school yet but Beth had covered it all so we have her to thank for our new school place.
I could not recommend her enough for her experience as a teacher and also her ability to engage children and ensure they enjoy their learning experience with her.
